Before you email
- Open the in-app dashboard at Apps → TagAlong and check the Setup healthcard — most “the discount isn't firing” issues are caught there.
- Make sure your addon products have either the
shipping_addontag OR thetagalong.is_addonmetafield set totrue. - Confirm your addon products live in a different shipping profile than your main products. If they share a profile, Shopify produces one combined shipping line at checkout — and TagAlong has nothing to waive. Settings → Shipping and delivery.
- Confirm the discount's Combinations checkboxes are all unchecked (TagAlong runs standalone in v1.1).
Pricing & billing
How does the free plan work?
TagAlong is free for the first 10 bundled discounts each calendar month. No credit card, no time-limited trial. If you go over the limit, the discount keeps firing for a 7-day grace period so you have time to decide whether to upgrade.
What happens after the grace period if I don't upgrade?
TagAlong pauses the bundle-shipping discount until you subscribe or the next calendar month begins. Customers see their normal shipping rates during the pause — nothing breaks at checkout, you just stop offering the bundle discount until you resume.
How is the paid plan billed?
$9/month via Shopify's built-in billing, so the charge appears on the same invoice as your Shopify subscription. We never see or store payment card details. Cancel anytime from the embedded admin or directly from Shopify admin → Apps → TagAlong → Billing.
Can I switch between Free and Paid?
Yes, both directions. Subscribe from the embedded admin to move to paid; cancel from Shopify admin → Apps → TagAlong to return to free. Your settings, product tags, and existing discount stay in place across plan changes.
What if I uninstall?
The bundle-shipping discount stops applying at checkout immediately and your subscription auto-cancels. Your discount and product tags stay in place so reinstalling later picks up where you left off.
Known limitations
- Shopify checkout displays addon items as a separate “shipment” even when shipping is waived, because they live in a separate shipping profile. This is a Shopify presentation behavior outside the app's control.
- TagAlong's bundle discount does not combine with other shipping discounts in v1.
- The customer-facing checkout message is fixed at “Bundle shipping discount” in v1. Merchant-customizable messages are planned for a future release.
